Promoting scientific integrity in health psychology research and publishing

During the 2018 Synergy Expert Meeting 17 experts from 9 different countries came together to discuss opportunities and challenges to enhance the scientific integrity in health psychology for two full days at the NUI Galway. After a short introduction round of integrity issues each expert planned to discuss during the meeting, the group split up into smaller groups working on the issues from the researcher (educator), gatekeeper (editors, funders) and end user (public, practitioners) perspective. Propositions on ways forward, incentives and possible regulations were generated and prioritized. The group will work on an expert consensus paper how to foster scientific integrity in Health Psychology in the upcoming months as well as on some spin-off projects.
